Sheila Basey is a third generation Washingtonian. Having spent most of her career in the private sector, she rounded out with over 10 years of service at the Peace Corps and Smithsonian. She is a certified administrative professional with over 30 years of experience, serving as DC Chapter President of the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Sheila is a program leader for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health), helping to increase awareness of mental health disorders and its impact on family and community. In her free time she enjoys jazz, travel and creative design. She is passionate about service, and beginning a new chapter in her faith journey by serving Christ and the church.
