Class of 2023 WORSHIP
Nancy Turner – Elder
I became a member of Hope in 1987. Since then, I’ve been involved in many activities such as the Prayer Shawl Ministry, the choir, and the Food Pantry, but I have always worked on the Worship Committee—setting up and cleaning up the sanctuary, serving as a liturgist, and preparing the sanctuary for special services. I think of it as my “second home.”
Our Sanctuary During Advent
At Hope Presbyterian Church, we proclaim the living Christ in worship every Sunday morning at 10:30 AM, by professing our sins and asking God’s forgiveness, by praising God with our voices raised in song, by listening to the Word of God proclaimed by our pastor, Gloria Yi, by celebrating the sacraments of communion and baptism, by praying for one another, for the community, and for the world, and by offering our gifts to God.
We welcome all who enter our doors and invite them to sign our Connect Card during the service and to join us for fellowship afterward. Sunday School for children ages 2 through those in grade 5 follows Time with Children in our worship service. We also offer a nursery for infants and young toddlers.
We celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Some of our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service, the Ash Wednesday Service, the Good Friday Service, our Easter Service, and our Harvest Festival in November.
